4‑Day Gombe Chimpanzee Trekking from Kigoma

This short safari is ideal for travelers who want to visit Gombe Stream National Park, home to some of the most studied chimpanzees in the world. Located along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, Gombe is known for its forest-covered hills and its connection to Jane Goodall’s pioneering research. Over four days, you’ll travel from Kigoma by boat, trek through the forest in search of chimpanzees, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the lake.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigoma
Arrive in Kigoma either by flight or train. Our team will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Gombe Stream National Park
After breakfast, take a boat ride along Lake Tanganyika to Gombe Stream. Arrive and enjoy an afternoon trek to spot chimpanzees or relax by the lake.
