Tanzania Golden Circle Safari – 5 Days / 4 Nights

Destinations:  Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro

This 5-day safari takes you to some of the most famous parks in Tanzania. You’ll visit Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. You’ll also pass through Lake Manyara on the way to the Serengeti, where you’ll see wide open plains filled with animals like lions, giraffes, and zebras. Your trip ends at the Ngorongoro Crater, a great place to see a wide range of wildlife in one location. This safari is perfect for those who want to see a lot in a short amount of time.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Leave Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the day watching animals like elephants, antelopes, and lions. In the afternoon, drive to your lodge near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Manyara (en route) to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel through the Lake Manyara area. You’ll see a variety of birds and maybe even tree-climbing lions. Continue to Serengeti National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Go for a short game drive before heading to your camp or lodge for the night.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
Spend the whole day on game drives in the Serengeti. Search for the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino), and enjoy watching animals move across the plains. Return to your accommodation in the evening.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, go on a morning game drive as you leave Serengeti. Drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at a viewpoint over the crater, then head to your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Early in the morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This area is home to many animals, including rhinos, lions, and hippos. After lunch, drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends.
